Abstract
ABSTRAK Penanganan awal pada bencana sangat memerlukan kerja sama multi sector terutama pada fase tanggap darurat. Relawan merupakan bagian dari sumber daya manusia dimana sangat dibutuhkan keberadaannya dalam percepatan penanggulangan bencana. Pada saat ini masa pandemic COVID 19 merupakan tantangan bagi relawan untuk tetap dapat hadir dan berkiprah dalam misi kemanusiaan dan membutuhkan motivasi yang besar. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengidentifikasi motivasi relawan dan factor motivasi apa yang dominan saat terlibat dalam penanganan bencana terutama di era pandemic COVID 19. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian diskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini relawan yang berangkat saat penanggulangan gempa bumi di Mamuju Sulawesi Barat pada bulan Januari 2021. Teknik sampling menggunakan dengan simple random sampling dan 100 responden memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah Volunteer Function Inventory. Hasil penelitian didapatkan mayoritas relawan memiliki motivasi yang sangat kuat ( 73%) dan sisanya sebesar 27 responden ( 27%) menunjukkan motivasi yang kuat. Dari 6 faktor yang membentuk motivasi relawan maka didapatkan motivasi karir yang paling dominan lalui diikuti berturut turut pada factor understanding, protektif , values, social dan yang paling rendah adalah pada factor enhancement. Kata kunci: bencana; COVID 19; motivasi; relawan VOLUNTEER MOTIVATION IN HELPING DISASTER VICTIMS IN THE PANDEMIC COVID 19 IN MAMUJU WEST SULAWESI ABSTRACT Early handling of a disaster requires multi-sector cooperation, especially in the emergency response phase. Volunteers are a part of human resources that are needed to accelerate disaster management. During the COVID-19 pandemic, as it is today, it is a challenge for volunteers to be able to attend and take part in humanitarian missions and requires great motivation. This study aims to identify volunteer motivation and what motivational factors are dominant when involved in disaster management, especially in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic. This research is a descriptive quantitative study with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were volunteers who departed during the earthquake response in Mamuju, West Sulawesi in January 2021. The sampling technique was simple random and 100 respondents met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The instrument used was the Volunteer Function Inventory from Clary et al. Whose validity and reliability had been tested. The results showed that the majority had very strong motivation (73%) and the remaining 27 respondents (27%) showed strong motivation. Of the 6 factors that make up volunteer motivation, it is found that the most dominant career motivation is followed by successively the understanding, protective, values, social factors and the lowest is the enhancement factor.
