Abstract

ABSTRAK Pendahuluan :Diabetic foot ulcer merupakan komplikasi dari diabetes militus yang disebabkan oleh gangguan vaskularisasi, gangguan neurologi dan trauma. Penanganan ulkus diabetik yang tidak tepat bisa berakibat lamanya penyembuhan luka yang berujung pada tindakan amputasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan efektifitas sabun antiseptic terhadap penyembuhan diabetic foot ulcer. Metode penelitian ini adalah preexperimental desaigns dengan pendekatan intact group comparison. Teknik sampling menggunakan simple random sampling. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 32 respoden yang terbagi dalam 2 kelompok yaitu kelompok perlakuan dan kelompok kontrol. Pengukuran perkembangan luka menggunakan instrumen Bates-Jensen Wound Assesment Tool (BWAT). Hasil uji mann whitney dengan nilai p = 0,003 (p <α = 0,05), yang menunjukkan bahwa sabun antiseptic efektif berpengaruh terhadap penyembuhan diabetic foot ulcer. Diskusi : Sabun antiseptic efektif untuk mencuci luka pada diabetic foot ulcer. Kata kunci: Mencuci luka, sabun antiseptik, diabetic foot ulcer ABSTRACT Introduction: Diabetic foot ulcer is a complication of diabetes mellitus caused by vascular disorders, neurological disorders and trauma. Improper handling of diabetic ulcers can result in a long wound healing which leads to amputation. This study aims to prove the effectiveness of antiseptic soap on the healing of diabetic foot ulcers. Methods : This research method was pre-experimental designs with intact group comparison approach. The sampling technique used simple random sampling. The number of samples was 32 respondents divided into 2 groups, the intervention group and the control group. Measurement of wound progression used the Bates-Jensen Wound Assessment Tool (BWAT). Results : The results of the Mann Whitney test with a value of p = 0.003 (p <α = 0.05), which means that antiseptic soap has an effect on the healing of diabetic foot ulcers. Discussion : Antiseptic soap is effective for washing wounds on diabetic foot ulcers. Keywords: wound cleansing, antiseptic soap, diabetic foot ulcer
