Abstract
Diabetes mellitus is a lifelong disease that requires correct and proper treatment. Lack of Health Education of Diabetes Mellitus affects a person's compliance in carrying out the treatment. Lack of compliance affect blood sugar levels rise. Design of this study is Quasi- Experimental Pre Post Test Group Design. The population is all patients treated at Poli Endocrine RSAL Dr. Ramelan Surabaya . Samples were Poli Endocrine patients who met the inclusion criteria, using sampling techniques Probability Sampling is Simple Random Sampling. Independent variables are Health Education and Dependent Variables are compliance DM type 1 and type 2. The research instrument used questionnaires and tools GDA Horizon One Touch. Data were analyzed using the Mann-Whithney test and Wilcoxon test. The results of the study obtained compliance prior to health education viewed from value GDA disobedient 30 people, compliance after done health education who look at of the value of GDA obey 7 people and 23 people disobedient, the result of test mann-whithney is p=0,000. Wilcoxon test p=0,000 p ≤ 0,00. So H1 received which would mean there are the influence of health education to compliance therapy in patients diabetus mellitus type 1 and type 2 . Research in over so health education affects a person to obey therapy diabetus mellitus by eating in accordance diet , sports regular , drink hipoglikemi appropriate doses of advocated and routine follow counseling sustainably .
